Courtney offers a respectful, genuine, and collaborative approach to her work with clients. She enjoys working with clients that are experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and difficulty with stress management. Her clients appreciate the active role she takes in sessions as she both supports and gently challenges her clients to explore personal and relational growth.
Courtney empowers her clients to increase self-awareness, develop insight into 'others', and learn healthier ways to cope with life’s difficulties. Courtney’s goal is to create an environment where clients feel safe being their most authentic, vulnerable self. She will work with you to develop lasting coping skills, informed by insight and in alignment with your goals. Courtney utilizes evidence-based practices to support clients with their individual needs and personal goals, and practices through an anti-racist and LGBTQIA+ affirming lens.
She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from North Carolina State University.. Prior to private practice, Courtney worked in the nonprofit mental health sector supporting individuals and groups and has supported women and families as a postpartum doula.
